Dr. Paul A. Stoot Sr.

Dr. Paul A. Stoot Sr. is a dedicated educator, pastor, U.S. Navy veteran, and lifelong community advocate. For over 25 years, he has led Rise Up Academy as founder and CEO, providing transformative educational opportunities for underserved youth and families across Snohomish County.

Under Dr. Stoot’s leadership, Rise Up Academy has raised funds for academic programs, mentorship, and holistic support services for students facing systemic barriers. His work has helped generations of young people gain access to the resources they need to succeed in school and beyond. He remains deeply connected to his students—personally visiting alumni each year to celebrate their continued growth and accomplishments.

In addition to his role at Rise Up Academy, Dr. Stoot has served as Senior Pastor of Greater Trinity Missionary Baptist Church for over three decades. His leadership in both faith and education reflects a lifelong commitment to equity, empowerment, and justice. He has also advocated for fairness within the legal system, playing a key role in securing the pardon and release of an individual serving a life sentence.

Dr. Stoot is excited to support initiatives focused on health equity and access for underserved communities while serving on the Providence Community Mission Board. He brings decades of frontline experience and a deep passion for service to this role.

From the classroom to the pulpit, and now in the healthcare space, Dr. Stoot continues to inspire lasting change—guided by faith, purpose, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child.
