Purpose and Meaning emerged as the third most influential factor in our county’s overall well-being score for 2024, with financial security following closely behind. Notably, both indicators rose in rank compared to the previous year.
Look for a variety of local resources to support Mental, Emotional and Spiritual well-being at www.livewelllocal.org
- Find local mental health counseling support and mindfulness and meditation resources
- Find financial assistance and local food banks
- Find volunteer and civic connections and family resources and activities
Visit our webpage to learn more about the annual PIHC Health and Wellbeing Monitor which measures indicators that our community identified within six key dimensions that work together to enhance health and improve quality of life, and how smaller community groups like churches, neighborhoods, or regions within the county can conduct their own survey—a My Community Health and Well Being Monitor.
Seasonal Hazards – Wildfire Smoke
Exposure to wildfires and wildfire smoke has increased in intensity and duration which can cause health problems that range from minor to severe. Keep track of the air quality in your area and make sure you are signed up to receive the health alerts from Snohomish County Health Department by going to www.snohd.org/notifyme.

National Recovery Month
September marks National Recovery Month, bringing awareness to our communities that the possibility of recovery for folks to heal and thrive is to be celebrated. Let’s celebrate people on their path to recovery and remind them they’re not alone. When it comes to recovery from addiction, support makes a big difference. Learn more about recovery and how you can support those around you: Understanding Addiction to Support Recovery | Stop Overdose | CDC. Check our local resource hub for local resources available to support whole person health.
Everett Recovery Café is a community of healing, purpose, and hope; founded on the belief that every human being is beloved regardless of past trauma, mental and emotional anguish, addictive behaviors, or mistakes made. Everett Recovery Cafe Second Annual Inclusion Infusion is Saturday, September 13th from 11am-2pm.
