As you’re goal setting for the new year let us help you with our tools and resources, our Partner Portal. We’ve now made our Partner Portal passwordless! You no longer need a password to join or login into the portal. Add, update, or edit your organizations programs in the Partner Portal and they’ll be made visible in real time on the resource hub, www.livewelllocal.org.

Purpose and Meaning emerged as the third most influential factor in our county’s overall well-being score for 2024, with financial security following closely behind. Notably, both indicators rose in rank compared to the previous year. 

Look for a variety of local resources to support Mental, Emotional and Spiritual well-being at www.livewelllocal.org 

Visit our webpage to learn more about the annual PIHC Health and Wellbeing Monitor  which measures indicators that our community identified within six key dimensionsthat work together to enhance health and improve quality of life, and how smaller community groups like churches, neighborhoods, or regions within the county can conduct their own survey—a My Community Health and Well Being Monitor

Seasonal Hazards – Wildfire Smoke

Exposure to wildfires and wildfire smoke has increased in intensity and duration which can cause health problems that range from minor to severe.  Keep track of the air quality in your area and make sure you are signed up to receive the health alerts from Snohomish County Health Department by going to www.snohd.org/notifyme

National Recovery Month

September marks National Recovery Month, bringing awareness to our communities that the possibility of recovery for folks to heal and thrive is to be celebrated. Let’s celebrate people on their path to recovery and remind them they’re not alone. When it comes to recovery from addiction, support makes a big difference. Learn more about recovery and how you can support those around you: Understanding Addiction to Support Recovery | Stop Overdose | CDC. Check our local resource hub for local resources available to support whole person health.

Everett Recovery Café is a community of healing, purpose, and hope; founded on the belief that every human being is beloved regardless of past trauma, mental and emotional anguish, addictive behaviors, or mistakes made. Everett Recovery Cafe Second Annual Inclusion Infusion is Saturday, September 13th from 11am-2pm.

Fall Prevention

September highlights Fall prevention as an opportunity for awareness, educating the community about safe aging and preventing older adults from falling. Check out these local resources to get you moving.

Actions to take to reduce your risk of falls:

  • Find a good balance and exercise program
  • Talk to your health care provider 
  • Regularly review your medications
  • Get your vision and hearing checked
  • Keep your home safe
  • Talk to your family and friends
