Robert Polk Heart Health Event – Everett Memorial Saturday June 3rd, 2023

Providence Regional Medical Center (PRMCE) was honored to be part of this inaugural event.

Providence Regional Medical Center (PRMCE) was honored to be part of this inaugural event honoring former Everett Public Schools athletic director, Robert Polk, organized by his wife Tara Polk. Beautiful weather for an event that featured information and activities to support hearth health for all ages. PRMCEcaregivers provided BP checks, interactive heart, stroke, exercise and nutrition health education, a de-stressing rock paining station, and promoted access to community well-being resources using Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) Snohomish County Resource Hub www.livewelllocal.org.  TheYMCA of Snohomish County supported the track walk/run and exercise classes, led by their amazing instructors. Nick of Time was on hand doing CPR and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Awareness.  Everett Community College Nursing Students offered blood pressures and a fun obstacle course. Other activities included chair massage, food trucks, and Everett AquaSox prizes, gear, and free game tickets.

Many participants engaged through out the day in getting active, educated, and aware of hearth health and heart attack signs, care, and treatment. Many thanks to Tara Polk, the Everett School District, and community organizations who coordinated this offering for our community. A BIG thank you to PRMCE/PMG caregivers who came together for this team effort, coordinated by Tracy Courtenay, Director of Clinical Programs, bringing together Cardiac Rebab, Cardiovascular Services, Care Management Communications, Critical Care Education, Institute for Healthier Communities, PMG Cardiology and Stroke Outreach, to support this event!
