PIHC Hosts Irish College Students Studying Abroad

Georgina and Vincent supported outreach and conducted on-site observations at Providence

Earlier this spring, Providence Institute for Healthier Communities hosted two college students from Ireland as part of fieldwork for their Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Health Promotion. Georgina Leahy, of Kilkenny, and Vincent Bohol, of Dublin, are students at Waterford Institute of Technology. They’re splitting their time in Washington between UW Bothell, PIHC and Public Health – Seattle King County.

The focus of their work with PIHC was to support outreach for the Caregiver Health & Well-being Monitor and to gain a better understanding of the American hospital system through on-site observations at Colby and Pacific.

Big thanks to Georgina and Vincent for their work for Providence Institute for Healthier Communities. We wish them the very best in their final presentations on May 24 and as they continue their studies back home in Ireland.

Go n-eirí an t-ádh leat!
