Embracing Diversity for Better Health

Multicultural Health and Resource Fair

Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) attended the Embracing Diversity for Better Health- Muliticultural health and resource fair, this past Saturday, held at the Carl Gipson Center. Several Community-Based organizations were on hand including Refugee and Immigrant Services Northwest and Center for Human Services. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with community resources, learn about chronic health conditions, and engage with local agencies and organizations that support whole person health. Snacks, giveaways, and prizes were available to those throughout the event. PIHC, along with the support of our UW-Bothell Fieldwork students, talked about the importance of movement and physical activity and shared about www.LiveWellLocal.org – our local resource hub, with over 2,000 local resources here in Snohomish County.
