Providence Swedish Caregivers joined Spring into Recovery 2 hosted by the Snohomish County Recovery Coalition and Washington State Recovery Alliance. This free event was held on Friday, June 13th from 10am-4pm and open to the community. Over 80 Community-Based organizations were onsite providing resources and direct services, including walk-in dental care, veterinary services, eyeglass assistance, ID support, food, and more. Following the event, a pro recovery baseball game was held with Everett Aquasox.
Our Behavioral Health Team, from Providence Regional Medical Center Everett campus, provided information, handouts, and support for the Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Services, Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Inpatient Behavioral Health, and the newly added Partial Inpatient Hospitalization program.
In collaboration with our Behavioral Health Team, Providence Institute for a Healthier Community was onsite and engaged with folks through health education nutrition information- Seasons of Eating, handouts for our resource hub and where to access resources- www.livewelllocal.org were distributed throughout the event. Folks had the opportunity to play a fun trivia game, motivating them to eat more fruit and vegetables and win a prize!
Food was provided to everyone all throughout the event by Jeffs Texas Style BBQ and a huge thank you to Snohomish County Recovery Coalition for organizing a well-attended event!
