Everett Public Schools Community Resource Fair

Providence Caregivers attended this great event

Providence Swedish Caregivers were in attendance yesterday at the Everett Public Schools Community Resource Fair, held at the Community Resource Center at 3900 Broadway, Everett. Our Trauma Injury Prevention department shared information about the importance of Stop the Bleed and upcoming webinar for BE SMART. Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) shared with kids and families health education nutrition information- Seasons of Eating, handouts for our resource hub and where to access resources- www.livewelllocal.org, and played a fun trivia game for kids and families, encouraging folks to eat more fruits and vegetables.

The event included service providers, legal services, health and mental health resources, special education resources and services, as well as free vaccinations and immunizations on site. The DSHS mobile unit van was onsite assisting with folks signing up for benefits. Event attendees had the opportunity to grab a free meal from the tacos and ice cream food trucks.

A big thanks to Abby and Everett Public Schools, who coordinated the Community Resource Fair, it was a great success, thank you!
